EASIS Drive Check is a simple powerful tool to check the health of your hard drives or other storage devices like flash drives, usb sticks, external hard drives and more.

EASIS Drive Check offers two approaches to test media drives for possible failures.
First you can read out the SMART values of ATA/IDE hard disk drives and interpret their values. Often you can decide to change the drive only by reading the SMART values. But interpreting SMART values can be only a hint to decide about the drive status because the values are only snapshots and not complete tests of the drive.
However, it is impossible to get such SMART values from other media like usb drives, external hard drives and some more storage devices.
Our second approach is to test sector read possibilities of the media surfaces because storage devices die often slow, starting with a few sector read errors. With EASIS Drive Check you can check out each sector on the media surface. EASIS Drive Check is "read only". That means the software will never destroy any data on your device.
